Support

Draft of 19 October 2026.

Draft Draft, not yet reviewed. The steps below describe the app as designed; names of menu items may change before release.

Contact

Email hello@thalk.me. A real person reads it. We reply within two working days, usually sooner. Tell us your iPhone model and iOS version if the problem is technical; never send us your password.

Export your data

  1. Open Thalk and tap the gear icon on Home to open Settings.
  2. Tap Export my data.
  3. A share sheet opens with one text file containing your profile, your memory facts, your "how you speak" note, your saved own answers and every conversation with its summary. Save it to Files, or send it anywhere you like.

A single past conversation can also be exported from its own page in History.

Delete parts of your data

Delete your account

  1. Settings, then Delete account at the bottom.
  2. Confirm. Your account, profile, memory, own answers, conversations and usage records are deleted from our server straight away and from backups within 30 days. This cannot be undone.
  3. If you have a subscription, cancel it as well (below); deleting the account does not cancel it, because Apple handles billing.

Can't get into the app? Email hello@thalk.me from the address you signed up with and we'll delete the account for you.

Subscriptions and refunds

Thalk's paid plan is an App Store subscription, so Apple manages it. To cancel: open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Thalk. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. For a refund, use Apple's Report a Problem page; we can't issue refunds ourselves.

Common problems

I can't hear anything

Check the ring/silent switch and the volume, and that your headphones are connected. Thalk plays through whatever audio route your phone is using. If the server's audio fails, the phone's built-in voice reads the question instead; it sounds different but says the same thing.

My own answer isn't being heard

Thalk needs microphone and speech-recognition permission: iPhone Settings, then Thalk. Or switch to typing: Thalk Settings, then Answer by, then Type.

The wheel chooses before I'm ready

An answer is chosen only when you lift your thumb while it is on that side. Holding still never chooses anything. If you want to back out, slide back to the middle and let go.

"You've used your free conversations"

The free plan is 3 conversations of 5 rounds. Subscribe in the app to keep going, or wait for the paid plan to launch if it isn't available yet.

Offline

Thalk needs a connection to generate each question. If you drop off mid-conversation, your progress is saved and you can carry on when you're back.
